About Dr. McCormick

Dr. McCormick is a Board Certified Chiropractor in the states of Massachusetts, Colorado, and California. He has been in clinical practice since 1982. In addition to a general practice, Dr. McCormick is a member of the University of Massachusetts Sports Medicine Department. He is also on the Board of Advisors for the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors Nutrition Education Council.

In addition to treating sports injuries, Dr. McCormick is passionate about helping individuals with bone loss regain their skeletal health through a functional medicine approach a science-based, natural way to become healthy again. His professional memberships include the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, the International Bone and Mineral Society, and the American Chiropractic Association.

On a personal level Dr. McCormick has always been active in sports and competitive events, so receiving a diagnosis of severe osteoporosis in 1999 and being told he had the bones of a 100 year old woman, was a lifechanging shift. During five dismal years when he sustained 12 fractures, he saw numerous specialists. After several bone density examinations, MRIs, bone scans, xrays, extensive lab work, and a bone biopsy he was told to take bisphosphonate medications to harden his skeleton and a thiazide drug to reduce the calcium loss in his urine. But Dr. McCormick wasn’t interested in medications, he wanted to find out why he had bone loss, fix it, and make his skeleton healthier and more resistant to breaking. Bisphosphonates, he knew, would only make his bones denser, not healthier. Through research of his own disease, Dr. McCormick realized that there was very little offered in the way of nutritional support by the typical supplements found on most health store shelves. He wanted a much higher quality than what was available. After 10 years of process and development, Dr. McCormick created what he thought to be the best product available. Since then, OsteoNaturals has had countless success stories making positive impacts on customers all over the globe. Dr. McCormick continues to compete in triathlons of all distances, including Ironmans.

  1. At Stanford, he competed on the varsity crosscountry and fencing teams. He was the silver medalist in the Modern Pentathlon World Championships. Then in 1975 he won the North American Championship and the following year was a member of the United States Olympic Modern Pentathlon Team competing in the XXI Olympiad in Montreal.
  2. He competed in the 2005 Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Hawaii. In 2010, 2011, and 2014 he finished 7th, 9th, and 13th respectively in his age group at the 70.3 Ironman Triathlon World Championships. In 2015 he competed in the Lake Placid Ironman and qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
