Osteoporosis Talk at the Jones Library

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows about the talk I'm giving this Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. (November 8th) at the Jones Library (43 Amity Street) in Amherst, MA. I'll be focusing on the immune and skeletal system's intimate connection and how chronic systemic inflammation leads to bone loss. With the dizzying array of medications, vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other remedies available for the treatment of bone loss, it can be extremely difficult to make choices that result in optimal therapeutic results. My goal is to reduce some of the confusion. I will explain some of the more technical aspects of bone loss--diagramming how bone and immune cells engage and how medications and nutrients effect these cells and their interconnected signaling pathways. The more you know the better you will be able to make important decisions about your health care. Bring your most burning questions; there will be time for Q & A. Hope to see you there!
